THEMATIC INSTRUCTION: This week we began our "Down on the Farm" unit by looking and learning about COWS! We read many books about cows. We then used the information we learned to make a writing graphic organizer on cows. This class chart helped us write our very own pig fact sentences. OCT 24 Fall Festival 2 - 6pm OCT 27 The 50th Day of School!! Students (& parents) are encouraged to come to school dressed in 50's attire as we spend the day looking at life long ago. READING:
This week we began our new unit 'Let's Pretend,' all about nursery rhymes and fairytales. We searched out the rhyming words in many of our favorite poems and were introduced to fun new nursery rhymes. Hey Diddle, Diddle has quickly become a new class favorite. This dish running away with the spoon made us laugh every time. We also took a field trip to Fairytale Town. The kiddos has a great time going around the park and exploring all of the different fairytale stories we've been reading about in class over the last 2 weeks!
